This book is one of the treasures of my occult library and I can not recommend it enough. Steve Richard's well written and remarkably well researched book does an incredible job of tracking down and piecing together the clues for a very illusive ability. His writing guides us through a labyrinth of occult riddles spread across the disciplines of Alchemy, Rosicrucian's, Golden Dawn, Advanced Yoga sciences and Medieval Magic.
The book is not only fascinating from an academic stand point with it's rich list of historical resources and references, but is also a practical "How-to" guide starting with a primer on exactly how vision works including including a chapter on how to increase your own powers of vision and then moving on to actual experiments in invisibility for you to try for yourself. |
